By Train:

  • Approximately 1.1 miles from Lime Street Station.

By Bus:

  • Arriva buses numbers 1 and 4 link Hope Street with Liverpool City Centre and both stations.
  • Other buses that stop nearby are: 74, 75, 80/80A, 82/82A /82B/82E and 86/86A /86B/86C.
  • The closest bus stop, situated on Hardman Street (Philharmonic Hall in the direction towards the city centre and by the Flute public house in direction away from the city centre), is less than 0.25 miles.
  • Merseylink is Merseytravel's dial-a-ride service for people with impaired mobility.  You can contact them on 0151 709 1929.

By Car:

  • From the end of the motorway follow signs for the city centre and cathedrals, approximately 3 miles. Turn left at the Metropolitan Cathedral and head past the Everyman Theatre and Philharmonic Hall, both on the left of Hope Street. Hope Place is the first right turn off Hope Street after the Philharmonic Hall.
  • At either end of Hope Street are the two Liverpool Cathedrals.  Hope Place is in the middle of these, between the Philharmonic Hall and the “Suitcase” pavement art.  If you are approaching Hope Street from Liverpool City Centre then the landmark to look out for is St Luke’s Church, also known locally as the “Bombed Out Church”, which is at the bottom of Hardman Street, leading on to Hope Street. 
  • The nearest car park is the Philharmonic Hall car park on Caledonia Street. There is also a car park on Hope Street/Myrtle Street plus on-street pay & display parking around Hope Place. Please note that between 8am & 6pm it is residents only parking on Hope Place.
