Open City (Merseyside)
Volunteer Community Coordinators
Open City is a project that aims to support local people in becoming visitors at Liverpool arts venues. It aims to make people who don’t feel able to take advantage of the city’s cultural offer to feel welcome, supported and excited about attending the arts in Liverpool.
Open City Volunteers will work with community groups who don’t currently attend the arts to encourage them to engage with arts organisations in Liverpool. They are looking for volunteers to work with one specific community group to build trust and confidence in the group, leading them on visits to the different arts organisations involved in the project and facilitating discussions of their experiences.
Volunteers will have a strong passion for the arts, good organisational skill and a keen interest in building or developing their experience within a local community setting.
